Blue Dot Farms separates values alignment from business verification. Sections describe who submitted a listing. These standards explain what every evidence label does—and does not—mean.

Business Information Confirmed means an owner or authorized representative confirmed public business details. It does not establish political or values alignment.
A values-alignment label requires direct, voluntary producer confirmation or documented public self-identification through a direct public statement, candidacy, or official biography. The supporting public source is displayed when that is the basis.
Checked public-source business information may be published under Community submitted without producer agreement or a blue dot. Inclusion makes no political claim.
A firsthand visit or purchase enters private review. Only an aggregate recommendation count and most recent month may appear publicly after review.
Profiles use public business information and producer-provided details. Private contact information, submitter identities, and moderation notes are not published.
We do not verify private ballots or use voter records, contribution data, inferred voting histories, private political scores, location, demographics, unrelated memberships, farming practices, or referrals to assign political identity.
Listings are informational. They are not food-safety certifications, legal guarantees, product-quality certifications, or blanket endorsements. Buyers should confirm claims and transaction terms directly.
Producers may submit corrections, claim a profile, provide alignment information, or request removal. Community members may submit sourced corrections or removal concerns for private review.
What values mean here
When values or practices appear in a profile, they come from the producer’s voluntary statements or documented public claims. Organizational membership, location, certification, or a community referral is never converted into an assumed political identity.
